This album was intended to be listened to in one sitting.
When creating Find Yourself, I wanted to create a musical representation of the transition between the chapters of life. To give the listener a sense of that, ironically, that they were lost. I wanted to put them in a different state of mind where you are uncertain of what is happening or what the next move will be. Yet at the same time creating warmth. A sense of movement while staying still. You go through each song, or season, each with its own atmosphere and characteristics that can be reflective and nostalgic, tedious and overbearing, fun and groovy, or euphoric. At the end of your journey you finally find yourself centered, at home with yourself, and it gives you peace. At least, that’s how I see it.
I have been working on this album since the fall of 2015 and it is based on my life through college up to this point. I want to deeply thank everyone who has been there for me and supported me throughout this time. This album is for you guys.
Special acknowledgements to my best friend Austin Kinney for not only being a killer musician, but for also being a good friend.
